About Dr. Katie Borchert, NMD, LAc, MSOM

Dr. Katie Borchert began her natural healing studies when she started her yoga practice almost 20 years ago. From there she became extremely conscious of how the body reacts when it is out of balance. This culminated in receiving her Master’s in Oriental Medicine and Naturopathic Doctor degrees in 2013 from National University of Health Sciences in Illinois. She built up her practice in the western Chicago suburbs over 6 years before moving to Prescott Valley, AZ with her family for a new adventure.

She works with all people from infants to the very aged, getting great results with acupuncture, cupping, and plant-based medicine. It’s unique to be able to offer a style of medicine that reduces acute and chronic pains and also tonifies the entire person to promote overall healing and longevity. She lives a naturopathic lifestyle, with regular meditation, yoga and qi gong, gardening, hiking in nature, consuming a raw plant-based diet, resting and really connecting with the body for optimal health and well being. This is done with diligence to better serve her clients.

Naturopathic medicine dates back to the 1890s and is founded in the body’s inherent ability to heal itself. With a focus on prevention and natural remedies, the goal is to identify and remove all obstacles to healing and recovery. Naturopathic Medicine is rooted in 6 primary principles:

  1. Do No Harm
  2. The Healing Power of Nature
  3. Identify & Treat the Cause
  4. Treat the Whole Person
  5. Preventative Medicine
  6. Doctor as Teacher

It’s time to trust in your body’s strength & begin your journey to health.
